About The Glee Club
‘Of all my years of growing up, I grew up in 1962…’
The Glee Club, made up of five hard-working, hard-drinking miners and a church organist, is preparing for the local gala. Though they’re established in the working men’s clubs, they aren’t exactly at the vanguard of a musical revolution.
This is the summer of ’62. Britain and music are about to change, so too are the lives of these six men. Will anything ever be the same again?
The raucous comedy featuring live music, is an Out of Joint, CAST and Kiln Theatre co-production.
This play contains male nudity, strong language, references to homophobic violence and abortion, and is recommended for ages 14+

This gorgeous play by Richard Cameron - revived with tender élan by Kate Wasserberg - zeroes in with extraordinary skill.

Richard Cameron's comedy is a tender exploration of male friendship and sense of community
All six actors have terrific voices, harmonising beautifully on a number of old standards against Mark Bailey’s suitably industrial set full of brick and steel.
A great evening of theatre at @castindoncaster seeing The Glee Club. @Out_of_Joint I saw your production of Rita, Sue and Bob Too... too and I thoroughly enjoy the heart, humour and detail you put in your work. Kate Wasserberg, thanks for the Q&A! Your work is something to behold

@Out_of_Joint Grand Press Night for the Glee Club. Excellent job in all areas, acting, directing, music, set etc. Thoroughly enjoyable. Nice to see a locally set story, funny and poignant. Recommend if you live in the area go see. It’s on at #CAST Doncaster.

What an corker of a show @Out_of_Joint’s #TheGleeClub Press Night was last night - genuinely believe it’s one of the best plays written in a long time; I promise, if you get a ticket it won’t disappoint. And the cherry on the cake was this beautiful man assistant directed it👏 pic.twitter.com/0tdQGenvy7
