Top Girls opens with a dinner party featuring women from across myth and history. We asked our Facebook and Twitter friends to name their Top Girls.

Did you know Patti Smith (our most popular suggestion) was born in the same year as Dolly Parton? As well as pop icons (Debbie Harry, Annie Lennox and Beyonce are also here) there were activists, writers, a football managing director, a drag queen, comics, rulers and a fairytale character.
