Mark Ravenhill came to fame in 2006 with Shopping and F***ing, directed by Max Stafford-Clark for Out of Joint and the Royal Court.

Now enjoy the same team as Max joins Clare Lizzimore to direct Mark's dazzling short play The Mother, in which Haley is visited by two soldiers to tell her that her son has been killed at war. Her reaction to the news is as unexpected as it is beautifully written. Lesley Manville will play The Mother.

It's part of Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat - a project taking place across London and also involving the National Theatre, the Royal Court, The Gate Theatre, Paines Plough and Radio 3. A re-staging of the entire series of plays originally presented as Ravenhill for Breakfast at the Edinburgh Festival 2007.
